The theme of the Final Conference is "GI to support an informed society in the wider Europe". The conference will build on the findings of the GINIE project, give evidence of the pivotal role of GI and spatial data infrastructures to support more effective decision making in government, innovation in industry, location-specific delivery of e-services, and informed public participation, and discuss with senior decision-makers the strategy needed for the effective development of a location-based Information Society in the wider Europe.

There will be no conference fee. All travel and accommodation costs will be at the participants' own expense. A conference dinner will be offered by the GINIE consortium.
